"For I am the Lord your God who takes hold of your right hand and says to you, Do not fear; I will help you." (Isa 41:13)

One day, a man was faced with having to cross over a particularly dangerous narrow bridge in his life, and the more he thought about it, the more scared he got. So he prayed and asked GOD, "I can see that You want me to go over this horrible precipice, but I'm frightened that I might fall. Can I please hold your hand?"

GOD replied, "No, my child, it is 'I' that should hold onto your hand."

Confused, The man asked GOD, "What's the difference?"

GOD replied, "If you hold onto my hand, and something happens, you just might let go. But if I hold onto your hand, then no matter what happens, I will never let you go."
