GOD isn’t stupid. He knows that there are days when you’d rather just roll over in bed than face the daily string of la la, set up against you – and never mind pornography, drugs and booze! We now also have to face the fear of things like a second pandemic, doubts about schooling, working remotely, as well as keeping the kids busy (when we’re struggling through lack of sleep and lack of peace) - never mind walking blindly through all the unknowns of sickness or financial stress, blah, blah, blah… and all that’s right before you’ve managed to even blink your eyes and wake up properly!

Add these together, and out come all the "WHY ME" stupid, selfish arguments with your partner or friends. And THAT’S when the acrimonious guilt steps in!

Remember, GOD knew we’d always have days like this, and because He knew that we’d never manage to get through them (on our own), He asks us to live our (daily) lives through the same Driving Force He gave Jesus – His Holy Spirit.

Think about it, when the devil possesses someone, they can't negotiate with him for Fridays off to go shopping at ASDA - they remain 100% committed to his cause. Like Jacob Marley in Scrooge, the chains that bind them are forged through their own follies - they are never free without GOD's help, never! But when Jesus sets us free, we are (and remain) free indeed!

But ... even though He never leaves alone, He doesn’t FORCE us to live our lives daily through His Holy Spirit - because it’s a choice.

Choose wisely – choose today to ask Him into your life, walk with the Holy Spirit, and enjoy the real FREEDOM that His Blood cost you!
