Get up and go! You can’t stay here! Because [the land] is now unclean, it will destroy you with a grievous destruction.” (Mic 2:10)

This Scripture has for many weeks been burning in my heart, particularly as I’ve spoken to many people recently who seem discontent or unsure of their current circumstances.

The obvious question is: “Is where you are where you’re supposed to be?” Put simply, were you purposely heading out towards a particular calling/ destination - but like Abraham’s father Terah, have you stopped halfway and now can’t be bothered to keep on going?

Terah took his son Abram, his grandson Lot (Haran’s son), and Sarai his daughter-in-law (his son Abram’s wife) and set out with them from Ur of the Chaldees for the land of Canaan. But when they got as far as Haran, they settled down there. (Gen 11:36)

Child of the Living GOD, the quicker you face up to the truth that the troubles of life come to us ALL like a great Tsunami and leave us like frightened children hanging on to anything within arms reach (even toxic relationships, rubbish jobs and crippling debt), the sooner you’ll accept that ALL of us are destined to CONTINUALLY go through life struggles; health, finances, jobs, relationships, work, siblings, children, etc.

Once you do, you’ll recognise that all these (annoying) difficulties are really no more than a terrific opportunity for GOD to reveal and prove Himself - so that your faith in Him will grow!

Uncertainty comes to us all, and most of us forget to factor in the fact that maybe we’ve wandered too far away from His Love - to our harm! But for the vast majority, these pressures may well be just our loving Heavenly Father trying to pry our fingers off the things we’re desperately holding onto and be free!

Child of the Living GOD, you’re not in peril; you’re actually facing a series of fabulous opportunities – all greatly disguised as impossible situations!

Let go – let GOD.
