When I was first introduced to GOD in the Person of Christ Jesus, time itself seemed to slow right down! I was forgiven and made clean, and through that, I was able to 'see myself' for the first time, who I really was, my pure reflection in the beautiful river of Life.
I was ecstatic and somehow thought that all my troubles would be over forever. I’d never be sick again, money would flow in for everything and anything I wanted, and love would never fade.
Then time returned back to normal, the world ground its incessant wheels, and I became aware that in order to see my face again, I had to sweep away the scum of this-worlds reality.
When I lost the business that I’d worked so hard to build and all the peripheral la la that our family enjoyed, when my wife suffered a terrible haemorrhage, when my children were hurting, when I contracted cancer and the subsequent chemotherapy brought about a series of heart attacks …
The only reason I make this open list is to assure you that our Lord Jesus NEVER left me, NEVER abandoned me (even during my pathetic outbursts of painful expletives)! He brought me through all these trials and never let me be defeated.
Child of the Living GOD, he will save you and NEVER let you be defeated by what you’re facing. NEVER
