Actually, The Word of GOD (The Bible) is so much more than any of us could ever even imagine. It’s filled with the POWER of GOD Himself.

I remember reading about a group of Chinese Christians who had just received some smuggled copies of the Bible. Because of all the prejudice and persecution, they had all grouped together on someone's farm and read together well through the night.

In the early hours of the morning, some of the younger children had left for home. Along the way, they had been waylaid by a group of men intent on rape.

One girl stood her ground and tried to remember the promises of protection she had heard during the night, the only thing she could remember was Psalm 91. So she cried out "91, 91, 91, 91 …!"

As soon as she began crying '91' ALL of the rape gang froze like statues! The children fled back to their parents and they came and found the men still frozen as the girls had left them, with just their eyes moving.

The parents then gathered around and prayed for the frozen rape gang and they were released from their frozen condition. Some ran away, but some stayed and met with Jesus.

Awesome GOD, thank You for the promises in Your Powerful Word.

  URGENT PRAYER REQUESTS 

My friend Ian - who's undergone some pretty severe, invasive and intense head surgery to remove a growth. I communicated with Ian last night on WhatsApp and he sent me this: Please pray that God will fully restore my voice to lead worship again. He made me a worshipper and a worship leader. The return of my voice is not guaranteed and if my time is up I doing that then help me to accept it. Please also pray that the drain can come out tomorrow and other bits and pieces soon after. And pray against any infection. Thank you all dearly loved friends.
